What customers say?

“ After a very negative experience at OTR we accidentally stumbled upon THE BIG GRILL and arrived there with some French Backpackers. We were AUTOMATICALLY made to feel welcome, something that OTR could learn a thing or two about ! We got served by a very delightful lady with blonde hair who certainly knows her way around a Kitchen, AND knows the meaning of Cooking short order Food whilst under pressure and holding her own, combined with friendly good old fashioned Public Relations. We trotted off taking our food home to the YHA on Waymouth. The French Backpackers were raving about their hotdogs, even said they were the best 'DOGS' this side of the Eiffel Tower, YUM ! Earlier we went to the OTR on Gouger Street near the Central Markets and the female attendant in this place would not even let us in, preferring to serve us ONLY through a sliding window, making all of us feel automatically unwelcome. We only wanted to go in and have a look at the Soft Drinks (which are situated way down the back of a very vertical store) She just said 'Theres only Coke and Diet Coke' but we wanted to actually look at the variety. When we realised that this OTR was more about 'keeping people out' we bolted , (and she looked relieved which is also very bad customer service) and of course this propelled us into finding THE BIG GRILL, which thanks to the delightful Blonde Lady turned a negative experience that night at OTR into a very positive and tasty one at BIG GRILL PS: Do yourselves a favour ! BIG GRILL Chips and Gravy are literally TO DIE FOR ! ”

“ These are usually the best hot chips I have found in the Adelaide CBD. Their burgers are delicious. The serving sizes are good value but sometimes a bit too big. ”

“ I have come here for 4 + years and Gaynor was exeptional, she made the best food I have had, and the best service I have received. I know it is especially as I come late at night. And while I tried to tip she was too nice to accept. An absolute asset to the company!!! ”

“ First time trying the lot dog made by this one server I don’t know how to spell her name but I think it’s Camille she’s the sweetest! Love this place! Not too bad for my first time in Adelaide! ”

- Tiffany Trixie B. Angeles -

“ Such friendly staff. Such a good price. One of the yummiest takeaways ever, I had the double egg and ham roll. Hmmm, that was good and at such a good price. This is a 24-hour convenience store and they have just about everything you could be looking for. I didn't check these prices, they wouldn't/couldn't match supermarkets but as a convenience store open at all hours, what more do you want? ”
